Rustic Chic Letterpress Invitation Suite
To create beautiful, custom invitations, you’ll need lots of inspiration, communication, passion and paper to sketch ideas out. This brand new 10 piece letterpress invitation suite is as gorgeous as they come and I am so excited to share it with you. It’s also the debut of my letterpress invitations printed one by one on my 1918 Chandler & Price press. What is letterpress? Read about it here.
Laura and I met through a local wedding planner, Becca of Missing Piece Events. After a great conversation one afternoon in April, I left thinking about the ideas we discussed and couldn’t have been more excited. With letterpress in mind, we worked together to create a pink & gray chic theme with a rustic twist.
Laura and Andrew, who live in New York City, wanted a weekend away with family & friends that was different. Vermont seemed to be just the right fit, and with a venue like the Round Barn Farm – who wouldn’t be swept up in all it’s charm. Thinking about Vermont and all it’s beauty, I put pencil to paper and came up with the idea of hand drawn ferns, flowers and frames. I kept the invitation elegant enough, but let in touches of rustic that balanced NYC with VT.
I am in love with this invitation suite, right down to the variegated silk ribbon used to tie them up or the speckled milkweed envelopes – I could go on forever about how amazing these invitations look, but instead I’ll leave you with Laura’s experience during the process and a few gorgeous pictures!
“Andrew and I were having the hardest time finding our perfect wedding paper. It ended up being the most difficult part of the planning process for us. I looked through books and books of invitations and met with different invitation designers in NYC. No one could help me find something that seemed to fit the wedding weekend we were planning. Then, my awesome wedding planner Becca Newton, introduced me to Christa. I looked at her website and chatted with her on the phone and I knew she was the right person. I’m not creative at all so it was hard for me to even articulate exactly what I wanted. Somehow Christa knew all the right questions to ask and very quickly after that conversation she presented me with these stunning invitations. They are the perfect blend of romantic, rustic, refined, and sweet that we wanted. Also I really wanted to put everything in a little folder so that it would be easy for the guests to have everything in one place since it is a destination wedding. Christa even managed to make that look amazing! Working with Christa has really been a dream, she is so easy to communicate with and is eager to make the product exactly what you want. It’s so great to work with people who obviously love what they do. Thank you!”
