It’s for the tent and event rental company, called Rain or Shine. You may have heard of them before, as I did their back cover ad for Vermont Vows a little over a year ago. They are a family owned company that offers a huge selection of impeccably kept tents, tables, chairs, dishes, lighting and even wooden Vermont country furniture. If you’re a bride looking for a company I highly recommend them! I’ll even be using them for my upcoming wedding this summer. Check out their testimonials if you don’t believe me…

Since the venue was a vineyard with a large barn, we wanted to keep it feminine but with a rustic touch. We used hemp cord with a variegated silk pink ribbon. The invitation colors were light pink and cornflower blue. They were mailed in kraft envelopes, just like her Save the Date. Enjoy the pictures!

It turned out to be quite the day – I even had a bit of good luck that day. Brendan asked me to marry him that very morning! I suppose it’ll be a day we’ll both remember forever. Enjoy the pictures!

Look out for the pink arrow noting Christa Alexandra Designs – there are place cards in this Flush of Romance feature, we are listed in Scripted Style an a local vendor, an invitation in the Under Autumn’s Awnings feature and don’t miss the last picture – you’ll see me at the Vows Wedding Affair standing my booth – and then the sign I made for the show two boxes over to the right. This invitation with bright pops of red – the signature color of Katie’s lipstick she’s known for wearing, combined with an elegant winery feel to set the pretense of the night’s festivities of family style Italian food and wine. I love the way this invitation came together, take a look through the pictures – they’re inspired by that Italian dinner when everyone is having a good time, bowls of pasta being passed around, glasses of wine being toasted and many memories in the making.

Over the next few months, we worked on putting this 200-or-so page book together with her text and photos from days gone by. Here are a few image to show the book layout and capture a few of it’s stories. This was a great project to work on, it’s inspired me to think about creating my own memoir for for generations later.

Three of the rooms of the Coach Barn were set up as mock weddings – a pairing of select vendors joined forces and put on each event. The guests were given a letterpress invitation with a mustard envelope and program booklet (containing all the vendor’s contact information) as they entered the room. I’ll post more on these items later. It was quite the task – we all fit in a wedding in about 2 weeks time…for the show I created letterpress menus, invitations and programs, also posters and signage for all the vendors and areas of the room. I wish I had more pictures, but these will have to do!
